Printer driver setup (Windows)

This article assumes you are attempting to install the Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5550i III printer on a Windows device! 

You must already have full access to the device in order for it to work.  Generally, this article will be for those who want to install the printer on their personal device.

Procedure:

1. Start off by downloading the zip file at this link: Printer Drivers.zip
   • You will get a popup saying it can't scan for viruses.  That is fine, just click "Download Anyway"
2. Extract the ZIP file to your Downloads folder.
3. Open the "Setup.exe" file
4. When you reach the "Printer Setup" window, click "Custom" then "Next"

5. Click "Next" until you get to the "Printer Information" window
   • 
6. Click "Add Port..." button, then select "Standard TCP/IP Port" and click "OK"
   • 
7. Click "Next", then on the "Add Port" screen, type 192.168.0.30:
   • 
8. Click "Next" then "Finish".  Your screen should look like this:

9. Click "Next" then "Start".  The printer driver should begin to install.
10. The setup will ask you to restart your computer.  Do that!
11. After restart, the printer should be available for use.
